Chinese New Year Celebrations on February 13
Dear CAST-P Members:
Just a friendly reminder that we will have our annual
Chinese New Year Celebrations on Saturday, February 13,
2010. Please note that Chinese New Year Day is on
Sunday, February 14.
Instead of traditional performance from China, this
year’s celebrations will feature more interactions among
members. The program will include the making and cooking
of dumplings (包饺子), home-cooked hot dishes fresh from
kitchen (做菜), group dancing (集体舞), ballroom dancing
(交谊舞)(remembering those 三步和四步 in those college years) to
rekindle the romance, Karaoke (卡拉OK), games
(四国大战、炒地皮、斗地主、找朋友), etc. Each kid will receive a red
envelop as Chinese New Year tradition.

Tickets at the Door: $12/adult, $6/child age over 5, and
free for children under 5

Dear all:
Please mark you calendar. We will have our annual
Thanksgiving event on Saturday, November 21, from 5:00pm
– 11:00pm. The event will start with networking, and
then followed by dinner and two seminars:
1) Current Status and Outlook for
China/US Nuclear Energy Collaboration by Mr. Yanbiao Shi
of China’s State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation
LTD.
2) Making Small Talk in Business Situations by Felicia
Zimmerman, a communication coach and expert with Fast
Track English.

Pittsburgh 2009 Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration
We are glad to announce that CAST-Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Chinese School will present the Pittsburgh 2009 Mid Fall Festival Celebration on October 03, 2009. A large group of Chinese performing artists will come to Pittsburgh to present a stage performance for celebrating the beautiful Mid-Autumn.
Time: 7:00PM, October 3rd, 2009
Location: North Allegheny Intermediate High School, 350 Cumberland Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
Ticket: $10/Adult, $5/Child (5-18 years old), Free for child under 5.
